My journey through higher education consists of transformational experiences, opportunities, and mentors. I participated in many student support programs that helped me successfully navigate the different education systems to purse my educational and professional goals.

CCCP was a home away from home. I am eternally thankful for Alfred, Santi, and Carina that cultivated a community for transfer students to thrive! They honored and welcomed all students as family.

I served as Peer Mentor for CCCP SITE and a AAP Peer Counselor. This was an opportunity for me to support others through the same programs that supported me when I first learned about UCLA and when I first arrived on campus as a transfer.

There are opportunities to make a positive impact anywhere we serve- whether is it in our community, at work, or at home. We can all work collectively to make our world a better place.

I now have the honor of serving as the Dean of Student Success and Equity at San Diego Mesa College.

Whenever I have the opportunity, I share about the CCCP Summer Programs and encourage anyone that is eligible to apply. These are unique life changing opportunities that can change the trajectory of a students, their families, and their community’s future!

CCCP is celebrating 25 years of transforming transfer pathways with a campaign to raise $25,000
