Peer Advisor Job Openings

  • We’re Hiring

Peer Advisor Application Due Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

Qualifications

Required

  • Be a current UCLA student in good academic standing.
  • Be familiar with the transfer process, UCLA and community college resources.
  • Have outstanding leadership, self-initiative and multi-tasking skills.
  • Be able to work well with others in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Be able to attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Must have a form of transportation (vehicle or public transit) to make weekly visits to assigned community college. Expectations will be in-person or hybrid depending on the needs of the respective community college.
  • If employed, must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check since the position is a critical designated position in accordance with UC Personnel Staff Policies 21.

Preferred

  • Work-study.
  • California Community College transfer student experience.
  • One year of UCLA experience or CCCP student staff experience (depending on position).

Important Dates

Fall Training 2026:

September 17, 2026 – September 19, 2026
September 21, 2026 –  September 22, 2026

Note: All training dates are mandatory.

Quarterly Weekly Staff Meetings:

Tuesday’s, 6-8 PM | Weeks 1 through 9

To apply for a CCCP Student Staff position:

  1. Visit MyUCLA.
  2. Navigate to Campus Life.
  3. Under Surveys and Notices, select Survey.
  4. Complete the survey: CCCP Student Staff Application 2026-2027.

New applicants must complete the entire application including short responses to the following essay prompts:

  • What is the role of community colleges in diversifying higher education?
  • Discuss key skills that you possess that will make our team work more effectively.
  • What specific concerns do transfer students have and how would you address them?

If the application does not appear, call or email our office. If you email us, include your name as it appears on your UCLA record, UCLA ID Number (UID) and cell phone number. Newly admitted students who have submitted their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) for the Fall will not see the application until after June 1st.

Returning Applicants

Returning applicants must complete all sections of the application EXCEPT where instructed not to.

Summer 2026 Positions

Peer Advisor

Motivates students to consider transfer as a viable option, relate personal experiences in transferring from a community college to the UC system, increase transfer awareness and opportunities for community college students, and to increase transfer rates from the participating community colleges to the UC system.

  • SITE PLUS
    Six-week in-person commuter experience
    Preferred: One year experience with CCCP as a Peer Advisor
  • CLASSIC SITE
    Three-day residential program
    Mandatory overnight stay required
  • STEM SITE
    Three-day residential program
    Mandatory overnight stay required
  • SITE LITE
    One-day experience at UCLA
  • P2TT-W
    One-day asynchronous experience

Office Assistant

Assist the general office and all other projects.

CCCCP Scholars Program Assistant

Assist in developing and implementing Academies and other activities and updating and maintaining a database.

Assist with creating publications and managing social media platforms.
