Briana Rivera, Transfer Retention Specialist

Briana Rivera is a UCLA alumna from the Class of 2022, where she earned a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Biomedical Research. As a proud transfer from Pasadena City and Sacramento City Colleges, Briana has been actively involved with the CCCP. Her journey began in 2019 as a STEM Peer Advisor and evolved into her role in 2023 as a STEM Coordinator at Los Angeles Mission College. There, she mentored students pursuing STEM degrees and careers. Currently, Briana serves as a Transfer Retention Specialist, where she dedicates her expertise to supporting newly enrolled transfer students, providing them with the essential tools they need to thrive in their educational journey.

Kelly Kang, Transfer Retention Peer Advisor

Kelly serves as CCCP’s Retention Peer Advisor, bringing her passion for supporting transfer students to the role. Currently a fourth-year Psychology major with a minor in Education Studies, she transferred from El Camino College in Fall 2023. As a first-generation Asian-American student, Kelly is committed to guiding fellow transfers through their educational journey, offering support in academics, professional development, and overall transfer success.

Dedicated to fostering an inclusive transfer student community, Kelly strives to provide meaningful guidance that helps students thrive personally, academically, and professionally. She welcomes students to connect with her via email or drop-in hours for support, advice, or to build transfer allyship.
