Academic Year

After completing a Summer Experience, CCCP Scholars have access to support for the duration of the program until the end of spring.

*UCLA quarter includes Fall (Sep – Dec), Winter (Jan – Mar) and Spring (Mar – Jun).

Peer Advisor

By the UCLA fall quarter,* CCCP Scholars are assigned a CCCP Peer Advisor who will them-, fem- or mentor them for the academic year. A Peer Advisor is a current UCLA student who is also a community college transfer student or ally. Scholars are required to contact their Peer Advisor each quarter.*

Academies

Each UCLA quarter,* CCCP Scholars are required to attend a CCCP Academy which consists of a welcome, a lineup of workshop sessions covering a specific theme of topics for Scholars to choose from and a closing.

  • Fall Academy focuses on transfer admission.
  • Winter Academy focuses on educational funding.
  • Spring Academy focuses on enhancing education beyond the classroom and preparing for the university transition.
Scholarship Search

Scholars have the entire academic year until the end of spring to research and apply for at least one scholarship. CCCP staff, many who are scholarship recipients themselves, are able to support them with this process.

Step 1: UC Transfer Admission Planner

Create and complete a UC Transfer Admission Planner account.

Current and returning Scholars: Please update your existing UC Transfer Admission Planner (UC TAP) account.
