Power of the Transfer: Built to Transform

Celebrate 25 years of empowering transfer students! The UCLA Center for Community College Partnerships helps thousands of students navigate California’s community college system, transfer to UCLA and other four-year universities, and pursue their academic, personal, and professional goals.

CCCP’s community is coming together to celebrate a quarter century of student success. We invite our thousands of alumni, community, family and friends to join us in raising $25,000 for the next 25 years of Power to the Transfer!

25 Years of Impact

California’s community college system serves more than 2.2 million students across 116 campuses, yet only 21% of students who intend to transfer to a four-year university do so within four years. While the transfer pathway exists, too many students encounter barriers that make the next step feel out of reach, from navigating complex requirements to accessing timely guidance, resources, and support.

This is where CCCP steps in. Since its founding, more than 12,000 students have participated in its signature CCCP Scholars Program, and more than 100,000 students have been impacted by its outreach, conferences, panels, workshops, and other resources. In fall 2025, CCCP Scholars posted an 87% UC admit rate compared to 70% systemwide, and a 56% UCLA admit rate compared to 22% campuswide. In all majors, performance outcomes are twice as high as the systemwide average. This year, we have served thousands of students from 105 of California’s 116 community colleges, and the CCCP Scholars Program has grown to a cohort of 670.

Hear from CCCP Alumni

“CCCP is far more than a transfer pathway program, it is an intergenerational disruptor that expands what is possible not only for individual students, but for their families, their communities and the populations they will one day serve, ”said Yazmin Gonzalez, who graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies in 2016 and a master’s degree in the same field in 2017.

Help Build the Next Transfer Story

From July 15 through August 14, 2026, CCCP alumni, students, staff, partners, and supporters are invited to celebrate a quarter century of student success by contributing to the Power of the Transfer: Built to Transform campaign.

Together, we are raising $25,000 to invest in the next 25 years of transfer excellence.

For 25 years, CCCP has helped community college students navigate transfer, find belonging, and imagine new possibilities. Your support helps provide:

  • Scholarships for transfer scholars
  • Peer mentorship and advising
  • Academic preparation and summer programming
  • Resources that help students successfully transfer to UCLA and other four-year universities

Every contribution helps create new opportunities for students and strengthens the pathways that make transfer possible.
